The King Partnership Avocado Orchard have approximately 300 avocado producing trees at their orchard in Puketona Road, near Kerikeri, Bay of Islands.

We only use soft option insect control on our trees to control pests and only then on an as-needed basis. This spray is Bio-friendly not harmful to ladybugs, lacewing, syrphid flies, bees and wasps etc.

Varieties

Hass, Reed and Fuerte are the main varieties grown in New Zealand. Hass however is the only commercial variety accounting for 95% of all planting and is the only variety currently able to be exported from New Zealand.

Hass:- Oval shape. Thick, pebbly skin that darkens when ripe. Available August to May.

Fuerte:- Pear shape. Thin, smooth green skin that is not shiny. Skin remains green as fruit ripens. Availalable July to October

Reed:- Large and round. Thick, Pebby skin that stays green when ripe. Available February to June.
